From here Dr Richard Huson moved to the United Kingdom to work at a dental practice near Cambridge. He worked there for 4 years after which he bought into the practice and became the principal dentist of this large private practice.
In 2008 he sold the practice and was offered a position at one of the top cosmetic practices in the Harley street area of London. There he gained a huge amount of experience in cosmetic dentistry working at the practice which hosted the BBC’s “10 years younger” television series. Here he was trained by Dr Joe Oliver, one of the worlds leading cosmetic dentists to celebrities.
He stayed in the United Kingdom until August 2010, and moved back to South Africa to start Silver Oaks Dental Clinic in September 2010.
Dr Richard Huson has attended numerous post graduate training courses since qualifying. These include, amongst others a year course in Specialised Cosmetic Dentistry in London. He also received a Certificate of Implantology for a year course in dental implantology at Cambridge.
Dr Richard Huson is passionate about dentistry and constantly strives to improve the services he offers his patients. He has a very gentle nature and makes sure that his patients are very comfortable during treatment. To this end, he sometimes uses Nitrous Oxide Inhalation Sedation or “The Wand” local anaesthetic system. He is one of the only dentists in South Africa who offers cosmetic imaging as a treatment modality – a way to visualise your cosmetic treatment options digitally on the computer without having to physically touch the teeth at all. Dr Richard is continually learning and striving to improve his techniques and treatment options.
Dr Richard Huson uses the latest techniques in CAD-CAM digital dentistry to create Same-Day-Crowns and Same-Day-Smiles with the use of the CEREC 3D laser scanner and MCXL milling unit.

Dr Inch’s interest lies in every branch of operative dentistry and a special interest in prosthodontics, orthodontics, and endodontics. He is passionate about dentistry and is constantly seeking to extend his knowledge of dentistry and expand his repertoire of viable treatment options. He strives for solid, predictable, long-lasting outcomes in treatments.
In 2019, Dr Inch relocated to Kloof, KZN. He enjoys tennis, squash, hiking, fishing, travel, ornithology, and other natural sciences. He is also a longstanding SANParks Honorary Ranger in the Southern Kruger Region. Mostly involved with snare removal projects and alien plant species removal from South and Central Kruger Park.
Maggy Solomons
Maggy is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a degree in Oral Hygiene and has over 10 years of dental experience. Maggie has been with the Silver Oaks family for more than 10 years.

Kelsey is a highly experienced dental nurse with 16 years in specialised dentistry and is registered with HPCSA. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive knowledge and skills, supporting both patients and clinical teams with professionalism and care. Kelsey is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and well looked after.

Her role as the Practice Treatment Coordinator, is essential for enhancing patient experience and smooth operations within the practice and she ensures patients understand treatment options and related costs in confidentiality. She coordinates appointment schedules for patients undergoing multiple treatments to optimize the use of the team’s time.
Outside of the office, Christina is multi-skilled and she is specially talented at chicken breyani. She loves spending time with her granddaughters. She loves gardening, so just be careful with your plants if she ever visits.
Her loyalty, personality and marketing skills, and most of all her integrity have been recognized by Dr. Huson and the team, and therefore she has now also been placed as the practice treatment coordinator.

She works closely with Dr. Huson and the dental team to maintain the high standards our patients have come to expect.
Outside of work, Tranisha is known for her creativity and love of organization. Whether she’s planning an event or helping streamline a new system, she brings energy and innovation to everything she does. Add to that her passion for cooking and her competitive streak in board games and you’ve got someone who brings just as much personality as professionalism to the team.
Tranisha finds pure joy in cheering from the side-lines as her son spikes, serves and dives across the volleyball court. A proud mom and his biggest fan—celebrating every win, encouraging every effort, and soaking in the energy of the game that brings them closer together.
Her professionalism, loyalty and vast skillset has been recognized by Dr Huson and the team and has subsequently been afforded the role of Practice Manager.
