These aligners are a series of custom-made clear mouthpieces that slip over the teeth, which are a more comfortable solution to having straight teeth in a shorter space of time.
These clear trays use a gradual force to control tooth movement and guide them into the correct position. Aligners are designed to fit snugly on the teeth. You will be fitted for several versions of aligners.
During your consultation the doctor will examine your teeth and take a precise digital scan of the mouth. We send this scan to our offsite lab to create a full report of what your treatment will look like and how many steps is necessary to correct your teeth. We will then give you a detailed quote and explain to you exactly what the process will entail.
They are fabricated from medical grade clear plastic or acrylic material.
Using digital smile design, we will prepare a comprehensive treatment plan. Our patients get a digital preview of their new smile before the aligners are created and placed to show them how the transformation process will look.
Once our patients are happy, we have the files sent to our onsite lab for the printing of models. The lab digitally creates 3D prints of indefectible models that are used when making the clear trays.
Aligner trays should be changed every 2 weeks to move the teeth into the desired positions.
Treatment durations are dependent on the movement and rotation of the patient’s teeth. Most cases are complete in 6-18 weeks. Once treatment is complete, either a custom clear retainer or wire retainer is created for lifestyle use, this is to ensure your teeth are kept at optimal position.
The clear retainers are used nightly whereas the wired retainer is fixed. The option of the retaining of teeth, depends on lifestyle of patient and in some cases position of teeth at the end of treatment. The doctor will discuss these options with you.
Once every 4-6 weeks. In this way the Doctor will be able to assess how many steps will be further required to reach the desired result.
